| Video Discription | (16 Dec 2014) The Mexican student who briefly disrupted the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo last week arrived in Mexico City on Monday after being deported from Norway. Adan Cortes, a 21-year-old student, was deported after Norwegian immigration authorities rejected his application for political asylum. Family members, supporters and media waited for Cortes at Mexico City International Airport. People cheered "You are not alone!" as he walked out into the arrivals hall and embraced his family. "I am not doing this to become famous. As I said at the beginning and I say it now, I want to express my opinion and the opinion many share with me about all the injustice that happens in Mexico," Cortes said. He said he was disappointed by his deportation. "I was a little upset that my asylum request was denied like that, illegally and baselessly, but I respect the decision," he added. Cortes jumped on stage in the middle of the Nobel prize ceremony in the Norwegian capital last Wednesday and waved a Mexican flag. He said he wanted to draw attention to violence and kidnappings in Mexico, including the disappearance of 43 demonstrating students in September.
