| Video Discription | ÓBIDOS is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Portugal. We had a wonderful time visiting twice in August 2021 during the Medieval Festival. The first time with our friend Deano, when we tried the famous local liqueur, Ginja. During our second visit, we show part of our 8km walk from our village housesit along the Ecovia do Arnóia, one of the many walking trails in Portugal. Keep in mind that Óbidos can be very busy, as this beautiful town is only 1 hour from Lisbon, so it's advisable to come early in the morning or in the afternoon to avoid the tour buses! Also, that way you'll have a more pleasurable experience when walking around the many sections of the walls which don't have safety fences! We had a wonderful time in Óbidos, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience an amazing walled town!
