| Video Discription | PONGAL IN INSTANT POT . Ven Pongal in Instant Pot / Quick Kara Pongal Recipe Ingredients : Rice - 1 cup ( 160 grams ) Moong dal - 1 cup ( 160 grams) Water - 6 cups Ghee - 3 Tablespoons Cumin seeds - 1 Teaspoon Ginger - 1 Tablespoon Green Chillies - 3 ( slit ) Peppercorns (or) Crushed Black Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida - little Cashews Curry leaves Procedure : 1. Wash Rice and moong dal and keep aside 2. on Saute Mode Add : Ghee Cumin seeds Ginger Green Chillies Peppercorns (or) Crushed Black Pepper Asafoetida Curry leaves Saute till cashews turn light golden color. Add : Rice & Moong dal Saute a minute Add water - 6 cups salt Mix Well and Adjust salt cancel saute mode. 3. close & Seal. 4. Time set : Manual ( or) Pressure Cook - 6 minutes Pressure - HIGH Release : Natural Release (or) Release after 10 minutes Open lid and mix well.
