There are always a lot of new features with any new model, but there are times that these new features end up ruining the current model. Could that be the case with the 2023 Toyota RAV4? Well, let’s find out.

And with that, let’s find out why you should not buy the 2023 Toyota RAV4.
We are in a period when car owners must think of changing their cars. This is a huge decision because people have to choose whether to change their car for a newer model or stick with the old one. All this depends on what the new car has to offer.
Right now, the 2023 Toyota RAV4 is on its way to the market this fall. From what we know so far, it will receive some pretty awesome updates. But are they really worth the long wait? If you feel you need a larger touchscreen or are planning on getting yourself the new off-road Woodland edition, then a 2022 Toyota RAV4 SUV might be what you are looking for. During the release of a new model, you can get an excellent deal on a current-year model.
When you look at the entire lineup of the Toyota RAV4, the 2022 RAV4 has been Toyota’s best-selling SUV. Not only that, but it has also become the world’s best-selling SUV. Given these facts, we are not really surprised that Toyota does not want to mess too much with that success in the coming year. The last major upgrade that Toyota did to the RAV4 was in the 2021 model year, and this was after the car underwent a complete redesign in 2018.
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 is a five-seat SUV that comes in three options. Depending on your desire, you can get it in either gas, hybrid, or plug-in variants. Most consumer reports recommend getting the RAV4, mainly because it is reliable and competent. The RAV4 stands out when it comes to its competitors, namely the Honda CR-V and the Kia Sportage. But can the 2023 Toyota RAV4 stand out just like its previous models?
There are a few things that the 2023 Toyota RAV4 has that are not in the other models. The very first significant difference is the standard safety packages. They are all new in the 2023 RAV4. According to Toyota, the 2023 RAV4 will come standard with the latest version of Toyota Safety Sense. This gives the driver access to some of the best safety features on a car, such as pre-collision braking and pedestrian detection. Not only that, but this system also includes an emergency steering assist. The driver will also have access to dynamic radar cruise control and lane-tracing assist.
One of the other major upgrades to the 2023 model of the RAV4 is the infotainment system. Toyota clarified that the new 8-inch touchscreen, which displays the entire infotainment system, will come standard on all the lower trim levels. The higher trim levels, which include the Adventure and Hybrid SE, will come with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. There will also be an additional 7-inch multi-information display screen that will be standard on the LE/Hybrid, XLE/Hybrid, and Hybrid SE grades.
In addition to all these additional features, the 2023 Toyota RAV4 can be equipped for soft-roading with the new RAV4 Woodland Edition. The Woodland Edition is Toyota's first hybrid special edition SUV that can go off-road. It will use Toyota’s clever all-wheel-drive system, which just adds an electric motor at the back.
Anyone who is going for the Toyota RAV4 has a choice of either going for the front-wheel drive system or a traction-enhancing all-wheel-drive system. Regarding efficiency, the gas-powered RAV4 has an estimated fuel economy of up to 30 combined miles per gallon.
It is obvious that if you remove the additional features in the 2023 Toyota RAV4, then all you get is more or less the 2022 Toyota RAV4. However, there are other reasons why you would choose not to go for the RAV4.
As much as Toyota has tried to make the RAV4 better, there are still a lot of places they need to improve on if they are going to be at the top. This is why there are some better options now if you were thinking of getting yourself the Toyota RAV4.
