| Video Discription | Welcome back to the Awesome Amateur Astronomy series! We are back and excited to bring you more informative talks. The talk is titled "Amateur Planetary Observation Contributions". The next LIVE interaction of the series is by Dr. Sanjay Limaye and Time Robertson (Cometman), from the Association of Lunar and Planetary Observers (ALPO). It is an international organization devoted to study the Sun, Moon, planets, asteroids, meteors, and comets. It's goals are to stimulate, coordinate, and generally promote the study of these bodies using methods and instruments that are available within the communities of both amateur and professional astronomers. The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy & Astrophysics , Pune, India has been supporting amateur astronomy activity in India whenever there has been a demand from local groups. This talk series is part of one of its initiatives in promoting serious observational activities among amateur astronomers. |
