We visit St Goar on the Rhein and climb to the largest fortress between Mainz and Koblenz on the Rhein, Rheinfells. We cross the Rhein in a car ferry and head into Germany's Riesling wine country, Rudesheim. Here we take the gondola to Niederwald and to the massive German empire monument, Niederwalddenkmal, constructed in 1871, before having lunch in the old city and heading to the public pool Freibad Eltville. |
