| Video Discription | Bu videoda Fluorescein (Tümör Boyası) eşliğinde mikroskopik olarak yüksek dereceli beyin tümörünün tamamının çıkartılması gösterilmektedir. Fluorescein, tümörü boyayan bir ilaç olup mikroskop altında tümörün daha net seçilmesine ve etraf normal dokulardan tümörlü alanın daha belirgin olarak izlenmesine olanak tanır. Böylece normal dokular korunur ve tümör tamamen çıkarılmış olur. Yüksek evreli (Kötü huylu-Malign) beyin tümörlerinde amaç normal işlevsel beyin dokularını koruyarak bu tümörün tamamının çıkartılmasıdır. Bu cerrahide, tümörün tamamı çıkartılmıştır.Hastanın ameliyat sonrası 2. sene MR'larında tümör izlenmemektedir. / FLUORESCENCE GUIDED MICRONEUROSURGICAL GROSS TOTAL RESECTION OF PARAHIPPOCAMPAL GYRUS HIGH-GRADE GLIOMA In this video we present the fluorescence guided gross total microsurgical resection of a high-grade glioma located in parahippocampal gyrus. Gross total resection was achieved in this patient using fluorescent dye. This video is also highlighting the surgical and clinical importance of gross total resection (GTR) in high-grade glioma surgery.GTR is the most important factor on patients long term survival.At the end of this video, the 2nd year follow-up MRI of the patient is presented.No recurrence or residual tumor growth is seen. |
