| Video Discription | The M-65 cannon nicknamed "Atomic Annie" on display at Fort Sill has the ominous distinction of being the first and only gun to fire a nuclear-armed artillery shell. Though it was only a test shot - the W-9 artillery shell carried its 15 kiloton atomic payload more than 20 miles. The program was retired in 1963 and Fort Sill's M-65 is one of only eight surviving cannons. |
