While the North Korea regime is obsessed with nuclear and missile testing to maintain power, its 25 million people are not guaranteed their basic rights to food, clothing and shelter. 북한의 아이들은 강제노역에 시달리고, 고아들은 국가로부터 아무런 도움도 받지 못하고 거리에 살며 풀이나 나무껍질을 먹으며 생명을 연장하다 영양실조로 아사하기도 합니다. Children in North Korea suffer from forced labor, and orphans live on the streets without any help from the state. They prolong their lives by eating grass and tree bark but sometimes starve to death from malnutrition. 북한 주민들은 거주지와 직업을 선택할 자유, 표현의 자유, 생각의 자유, 종교의 자유도 없으며, 그로 인해 가장 고통받는 곳에 살면서도 부르짖을 하나님을 알지 못합니다. North Koreans are not free to choose where they live or work, express their thoughts, or practice religion. As a result, they do not know the God to whom they can cry out even in times of great suffering. 목숨을 건 탈북에 성공하더라도 중국 공안을 피해 1만 2천 킬로를 이동해서 중국을 탈출해야 자유를 찾을 수 있습니다. 갈렙선교회 같은 NGO의 도움이 없이는 힘든 일입니다. If someone manages to escape from North Korea to China, they are still not safe. They must travel 7,500 miles to reach freedom without being caught by Chinese police.
