| Video Discription | This video is about a widely respected session drummer from Malaysia, Zahid Ahmad who was born in 1966 and fell in love with percussion and drumming at the age of ten. In the late 70s he joined a band (Split Times) and released a handful of albums. Eventually, Zahid went on to become a resident drummer for Roslan Aziz Productions, and notably a session drummer and live drummer for Sheila Majid. With Sheila, Zahid would be able to bring his talents to a worldwide audience, touring in such nations as Japan, Indonesia, and Singapore. In the '90s, Ahmad added Musical Director and lecturer to his resume which by then included producer, the latter of which was a job taken at University Teknologi Mara teaching percussion and drumming. Next, Ahmad could be found lecturing on topics percussive at the National Arts Academy. |
