| Video Discription | The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) recently launched its first satellite of 2024, known as the XPoSat. The purpose of the XPoSat is to study X-rays emitted by 50 cosmic sources, including black holes. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle successfully departed from Sriharikota's Satish Dhawan Space Centre at 9:10 am, carrying the XPoSat, which was built by two institutes located in Bengaluru, namely ISRO's UR Rao Satellite Centre and Raman Research Institute. The satellite was created for Rs 250 crore and is expected to outlast NASA's IXPE, with an estimated lifespan of over five years instead of two. ISRO signed a formal agreement for the XPoSat in 2015, six years after its conception in 2008.
