| Video Discription | In this video, I document the process used to troubleshoot and repair an issue with a wiring harness in my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. This harness passes beside the engine oil filter, and over time friction and heat had caused the wiring insulation to break down, creating a short in the crankshaft position sensor circuit, which would sporadically cause the engine to die. In this video, I demonstrate the issue, locate the damaged wiring, and perform the repair. I am not a professional mechanic, and my videos are not intended to offer professional advice.
