Haben Sie in Ihrem Stuhl kürzlich Spuren von Blut entdeckt? Blut auf dem Klopapier oder gar im Stuhl? Handelte es sich dabei um helles Blut oder war der Stuhl fast schwarz gefärbt? Dunkles, schwarzes Blut auf Ihrem Stuhl?
Generell sind wir uns einig, dass kein Blut im Stuhl vorhanden sein sollte. Eigentlich auch nicht auf dem Klopapier, wobei das schon öfter mal vorkommen kann. Gerade aber falls doch einmal Blut im Stuhl vorkommt, dann liefert uns dieses Blut selbst eine Menge Hinweise, wieso da auf einmal Blut ist. Je nachdem, was wir sehen, wenn wir einen Blick in die Toilette werfen, kommen unterschiedliche Krankheiten in Frage: Hämorrhoiden, Afterrisse, Entzündungen und Krebs verursachen am häufigsten Blutungen aus dem Darm, auf dem Stuhl oder im Analbereich. Ist Blut auf dem Stuhl sichtbar, wird das immer als beunruhigend empfunden, auch wenn es nur Spuren sind. Umso wichtiger ist es, bei solchen Beschwerden Hemmungen und Bedenken zu überwinden und zum Arzt zu gehen. Natürlich auch dann, wenn sich das Stuhlgangsverhalten ohne ersichtlichen Grund, etwa Umstellung der Ernährung, geändert hat – also z.B. eine ungewohnte Verstopfung auftritt. Oder wenn sich Beschwerden einstellen wie 1) Bauchschmerzen, 2) ungewohntes Völlegefühl, 3) Blähungen, eventuell auch 4) Müdigkeit und 5) Gewichtsverlust.
Woher kommt das Blut auf dem Klopapier oder gar im Stuhl?
Für viele von uns ist der Anblick von Blut im Stuhl natürlich erst einmal angsteinflößend, denn Blutungen im Magen-Darm-Trakt wecken oft die Befürchtung von Darmkrebs. Auf der Suche nach Ursachen für das Blut im Stuhl müssen wir allerdings viel weiter vorne anfangen, denn oftmals ist der eigentliche Grund dafür harmlos. Die Farbe ist schon der erste Anhaltspunkt, mit dem wir den Ort der Blutung bestimmen können. Dunkles oder sogar tiefschwarzes Blut stammt meistens aus dem Magen oder Zwölffingerdarm.
Die dunkle Farbe stammt dabei aus dem Kontakt mit Magensäure und Bakterien. Weil im Blut eine Menge Eisen enthalten ist, kommt es dabei zur Oxidation. Dabei entsteht aus dem roten Blutfarbstoff Hämoglobin dann das schwarze Hämatin. Das färbt den Stuhl schwarz und verleiht ihm den passenden Namen Teerstuhl. Damit das passiert, muss das Blut mindestens 5 Stunden lang im Darm verweilen. Teerstuhl ist für uns oft ein Grund, sofort zum Arzt zu gehen. Also, dunkles Blut im Stuhl, also sog. Teerstuhl, dann unbedingt zum Arzt gehen.
Ganz wichtig: Es gibt keinen Grund Scham zu empfinden oder eine Untersuchung beim Arzt auf die lange Bank zu schieben. Bei Blut im Stuhl sollten Sie immer zum Arzt gehen. Blut im Stuhl kann eine schlimme Ursache haben, wenn auch eher selten. Gerade bei starken Blutungen können schnelle Eingriffe nötig sein, um die Blutung zu stoppen. Die Behandlung richtet sich dann ganz nach der Ursache für das Blut.
