| Video Discription | Empress 1908 Gin is an indigo gin that is colored with butterfly pea flower. It has some wonderful botanical notes that make it a unique and delicious gin, especially for cocktails. Egg white sours our one of my favorite drinks because of the silky mouth feel you get from properly shaking them. You can substitute the egg white for aquafaba (chickpea liquid) if you are looking for a vegan alternative. • 1/4oz of a 1:1 simple syrup • 1/2oz of freshly squeezed lemon juice • 2 oz of Empress 1908 Gin • 3/4oz of egg white Add all ingredients to your shaker tin but if you are cracking a fresh egg for the white then do it in a separate container as not to risk getting yoke or shell into you cocktail. Once your egg white is obtained, add it to you tin and dry shake (without ice) for a good 20 seconds. Add some ice to your shaker and shake again for another 15 seconds or so. Separate your tins and double strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a lemon peel. Enjoy! With all cocktails, ratios can be adjusted to your liking. If you want it sweeter, increase the simple syrup. Cheers. |
