Iguanas
Our first video shows us a couple of best friends getting upset with each other. This iguana attacks his dog friend, but it’s the iguana that gets the worst of it. You can see a spot of blood on the iguana’s head after the scuffle, and that’s why his handler takes him to the vet immediately. This iguana is annoyed by these two small dogs, but besides barking a lot, it doesn’t look like these dogs’ bites. The iguana swings his tail to intimidate the dogs and it works. I think the dogs are just afraid and want to let the reptile know he’s not welcome. This iguana is just like a dog when his handler calls him to be petted. He runs to his handler and even answers him when his handler asks him if he’s hungry. This lizard looks like a lot of fun to be around. This lizard needs to run for his life when all these snakes want a piece of him, but he gets snatched along the way and it doesn’t look good. However, he gets away and runs like hell to get to the top of the hill. This is a near-miraculous escape. This iguana decides to climb his handler’s leg, so he can get a few caresses, His handler offers him some food, but that’s not what the iguana wants. He just wants to be loved
Perentie/Goanna
The perentie can track its prey by using its long tongue which detects chemical signals in the air. They exude power and confidence and are the fourth largest lizard on the planet. This goanna drags a rabbit out of its den and in seconds it swallows it whole. The rabbit should have locked his door. Meet Australia's largest and toughest lizard, which weighs approximately 33 pounds and measures more than nine feet in length. The Perentie is the lizard king, a terrifying apex predator with whom few creatures dare to meet. This massive male is a well-known desert stalker on the lookout for prey. He's foraging in the grass, using his keen senses. His eyes are sun-shaded and extremely sensitive to even the smallest movements. By licking the air with his tongue, he tastes the slight chemical trace of prey.
Nothing escapes him, and most of the time he must make do with small rodents. He's not above scavenging because prospective meals are few and far between out here in Australia's interior, but as a huge active hunter, he occasionally requires a more substantial meal. Wombats and even solitary Dingoes are aggressively pursued by a Perentie his size. The Perentie is not like most reptiles, who would never dare to challenge a red kangaroo. He possesses abilities that other lizards do not. Perenties can run and breathe at the same time. He has a large breathing tube and strong neck muscles that act as bellows to keep him oxygenated. The Perentie is one of the fastest reptiles on the planet. He can run for more than half a mile at about 25 miles per hour, making him a capable endurance hunter. Even so, the kangaroo is a formidable foe. His best chance is to strike unexpectedly. He focuses on the group's most vulnerable and weakest members. The predator's rotting mouth spews more than drool.
The Perentie bite has recently been determined to be venomous. The venom's anticoagulants cause a drop in blood pressure and disorientation, quickly subduing the victim. His approach is quiet as he chooses an unwary victim. In contrast, the desert community is constantly on the lookout for stalkers. The hunt has begun. It's a race for quickness and agility. In an open plane, the kangaroo would be much faster. However, it struggles to maintain full speed while passing through the low desert brush. In the end, the Perentie is outclassed by this legendary Australian sprinter, but that's not a bad thing. The Perentie is now preoccupied with a completely different situation. He came across a freshly fed Mulga snake. It's one of the most venomous snakes on the planet, posing a serious threat to most reptiles.
