In the last few years, several minimally invasive surgical treatments (MIST) for benign prostatic obstruction (BPO) have been proposed. Some of these treatments, due to their good safety profile, could represent an alternative not only to traditional surgical procedures but also to pharmacological therapies. The objective of this recording is to discuss: -The possible complications occurring to the lower urinary tract as a consequence of BPO -How to identify patients at risk for complications -Which MIST should be used, according to the patient’s characteristics and preferences.
