| Video Discription | Reconstructed alternate version of the United Artists logo introduced in 1968 featuring the (often-missing) music often mistakenly attributed to Lalo Schifrin. This variation was most common on the Mirisch/Geoffrey/DePatie-Freling-produced cartoon shorts (Pink Panther, Ant and the Aardvark, The Inspector, Tijuana [Texas] Toads, Hoot Kloot) released to movie theaters; the music heard within is actually credited to Doug Goodwin, the musical director of the Mirisch/Geoffrey/D-F cartoons; the final half of the music was used on the United Artists Television ID from this period. (The video is from an UK widescreen version broadcast of the James Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever" and is a PAL-to-NTSC conversion. The audio was found elsewhere online and overdubbed onto the logo shown here.) |
