| Video Discription | Ulster Day, is the Saturday closest to the 28th September, it remembers the day in 1912 that half a million Men and Women began signing the Ulster Covenant pledging to oppose Home Rule (being governed by an Irish Government) using “whatever means may be necessary to defeat the present conspiracy”. In 2012 the grandchildren and great grandchildren reaffirmed this pledge in similar numbers. Each year groups of people come together to create events that remember those events and the history, culture and traditions we hold close to our hearts, and have a bloody good day out ! Join me at one such event in Seaview Stadium in North Belfast where hopefully we can catch some Highland Dancing, Lambeg Drumming and other elements of our culture you dont get to see in the marching parades I normally cover.
