| Video Discription | Ukraine has begun using Yak-52 propeller planes to shoot down Russian drones in Odesa. Video shows the 1970s training aircraft in action in the skies over the Ukrainian south. The plane can be seen circling a Russian Orlan-10 drone which has deployed its emergency parachute. Footage from the air shows a view of the same drone from the cockpit. Pro-Ukraine accounts said a co-pilot with a machine gun was likely placed in the back of the plane and used to shoot down the drone, which is used for spying. Such drones are relatively easy to shoot down with anti-air missiles, but they are cheap and easy to replace. Meaning both Russia and Ukraine are having to find novel solutions to stop them.
