| Video Discription | Driving west into the small town of Tutwiler, MS, where in 1903 W.C. Handy heard a man playing a tune that Handy later turned into the progression we know as the Blues. The sign early in the video that points to "blues sites" hangs from a large harmonica, in tribute to Sonny Boy Williamson, who was born (and is buried) in Tutwiler. The platform seen between the murals and the blues marker is the foundation of the former train depot aside the tracks. |
