Here are five important steps to take after your extraction to get back to feeling 100% ASAP. 1-Make sure you change the gauze you were given to bite down. You can change it once it becomes soaked. 2-Ice the area 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. 3-Take pain medication as prescribed. 4-Don’t spit, rinse, drink through a straw, chew tobacco or smoke for at least the first 24 hours and up to 3 days after your extraction. 5-Relax! Take it easy and get some rest. |
