| Video Discription | In this Excel Function Explained video series, I will explain, how to use NOW function in excel. It falls under the date and time function category. Excel NOW function is used to return current date and time in date format. Using this function, you’ll be able to display short date or long date along with time. You can even do some basic calculation using this function. Like adding or subtracting 10 days from Now. It will not only display current time and date, it will format the cell as date also. Again, it will update every time you open the workbook. If Now is 24th April 5:00 Pm and you’ve used this function in your workbook. When you open the workbook on 25th April 6:00 Pm it will display 25th April 6:00 PM not 24th April 5:00 PM. So, this is a dynamic function. Let’s learn how to use NOW formula in excel. The Function looks like this =Now () 1. This formula doesn’t have any parameter 2. It is a dynamic function and changes everyday 3. It can format the cell as date 4. You can use basic calculation along with this function 5. You can custom format it to display date, hour, minute, second etc. This is how we use NOW in excel.
