Tim Squyres is an American film editor with about 30 film credits. Squyres has had an extended collaboration with the Taiwanese director Ang Lee, having edited all but one of Lee's feature films. His latest collaboration with Jonathan Demme on the film “A Master Builder” opened in New York during June 2014 and was based on the 19th century play by Henrik Ibsen.
Squyres has edited all of Ang Lee's films except for “Brokeback Mountain,” including “The Wedding Banquet” (1993), “Eat Drink Man Woman” (1994), “Sense and Sensibility” (1995), “Ride with the Devil” (1999), “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” (2000), “The Hire: Chosen” (2001), “Hulk” (2003), “Lust, Caution” (2007), “Taking Woodstock” (2009), and, most recently, “Life of Pi” (2012). Squyres served as editor of Angelina Jolie's upcoming adaptation of “Unbroken” which will be released on December 25, 2014.
Squyres' work on “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” (2000) earned nominations for the Academy Award for Best Film Editing, the BAFTA Award for Best Editing, the American Cinema Editors Eddie Award, among other awards. His work on “Gosford Park” (directed by Robert Altman - 2001) was also nominated for an Eddie. In 2012, he was also nominated for the Academy Award for “Life of Pi.”

She is an Emmy-nominated film editor and the author of two acclaimed books about editing entitled "Cut to the Chase" and "The Invisible Cut." O’Steen is currently partnered with Manhattan Edit Workshop for her series “Inside the Cutting Room," and she also moderates panels for American Cinema Editors’ EditFest. “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” is a 2000 martial arts film. An American-Chinese-Hong Kong-Taiwanese co-production, the film was directed by Ang Lee and featured an international cast of ethnic Chinese actors, including Chow Yun-fat, Michelle Yeoh, Zhang Ziyi and Chang Chen. The film was based on the fourth novel in a pentalogy, known in China as the Crane Iron Pentalogy, by wuxia novelist Wang Dulu. The martial arts and action sequences were choreographed by Yuen Wo Ping.
“Sense and Sensibility” is a 1995 British-American period drama film directed by Ang Lee and based on Jane Austen's 1811 novel of the same name. Actress Emma Thompson wrote the script and stars as Elinor Dashwood, while Kate Winslet plays Elinor's younger sister Marianne. The story follows the Dashwood sisters – though they are members of a wealthy English family of landed gentry, circumstances result in their sudden destitution, forcing them to seek financial security through marriage. Actors Hugh Grant and Alan Rickman play their respective suitors. It was released on 13 December 1995 in the United States and on 23 February 1996 in the United Kingdom.
