| Video Discription | my online store https://weldmongerstore.com/ This video is about tig welding a stainless steel water cooling manifold for a local factory. ideally square tubing would have saved time but the 1/8" (3.2mm) 304L sheet was already in the shop so was cut on the PlasmaCam and cleaned up using a Burr King sander. I used aluminum backing along with chill bars to avoid sugaring on the back side and to limit discoloration and distortion. 200 amps for quick burst tack welds and then 100 amps for the welding. 3/32 (2.4mm) 2% lanth tungsten and 1/16" (1.6mm) er308L filler rod with a #8 gas lens and 20cfh argon A part 2 video will show welding the threaded nipples and purging. |
