In a heavy bottom pan put 1litre water n boil it. 2. Add 1cup toor dal to it n let it boil (takes half an hour approximately) 3. After dal becomes soft , filter it. 4. Now to the filtered dal, add 1cup jaggery, 1cup fresh grated coconut, elachi n let it on stove till jaggery melts. Now off the stove. 5. Prepare a fine paste of this in mixer grinder without adding water. 6. In a bowl mix 1 cup chiroti rava , 2 spoon maida adding little salt with water to form a tight dough n set aside for half an hour. 7. After that take the dough, knead it well ,add a cup of oil on that n leave it. 8. Now on a wax paper grease oil, take small portion of maida and pat it, keep small portion of dal mix (in ball shape) on it , cover it with maida properly. 9. Pat it n slowly transfer it onto the tava n roast it using ghee on both sides. Serve with ghee/milk." |
