| Video Discription | Who Were "The Yorkers"? At the dawn of the incredible musical age of the 1980s, a five-member band assembled from the far reaches of a fascinating place called Queens, New York. They were situated between the heyday of hard Rock concert bands of the 70s and the last gasps of the Saturday Night Disco scene. Yet, these five musicians, known as The Yorkers, emerged with a sound that would influence major acts soon to appear and change the direction of music for the next generation. Another one of their songs, "Ain't Love The Way It Seems," made local top 20 charts in southern states. Even with a record contract and radio airplay across the country and topping local music charts, by the time the mid-1980s rolled around, the members vanished into music history. With their whereabouts today unknown, only a few songs remain of their contribution to American music culture.
