| Video Discription | In the late 1300’s, western and Eastern Europe united to launch a Crusade against the Ottoman Empire. The Crusade had initially been called by King Sigismund of Hungary. He was joined by the Byzantines which led Ottoman Sultan Bayezid I to put Constantinople under siege. Most of the western Crusaders came from France and Burgundy. But the Venetians, the English, and the Germans also joined in. In the east, Wallachians and Bulgarians joined the Crusade along with the Hungarians and Byzantines. Some of the religious military orders also joined such as the Teutonic Knights and the Knights Hospitallers. All the Ottomans had were themselves and their Serbian vassal, Prince Stefan Lazarevic.
