| Video Discription | This Che Thai recipe (A Vietnamese dessert) is sweet, delicious and refreshing in the summer. It is a great party pleaser. Che Thai Recipe Ingredients: 2 cups Half and Half 1 can of longan (keep the syrup) 1 can of rambutan or lychee (keep the syrup) 1 can of green Aiyu jelly 1-2 small cans of whole water chestnuts or 1 big can of water chestnuts 1 can of Toddy Palm Seeds 1 bottle of Nata de Coco (coconut jelly) 20-30 pieces of fresh jackfruit (or a can of jackfruit) 4-5 drops of red food coloring 4-5 tablespoons tapioca starch (until completely coated) Making the red rubies: 1. Cut the water chestnuts into little cubes. 2. Pat it dry with a paper towel. 3. Add 4-5 drops of red food coloring to the water chestnuts and mix it well. 4. Then add 4-5 TB of tapioca starch to the water chestnuts and mix it so it's evenly coated. 5. In a boiling pot of water, drop the water chestnuts into the pot and stir it around. 6. Have a bowl of ice and water ready for the red rubies. 7. Once the red rubies rise to the surface of the boiling water, turn off the heat. 8. Scoop out the red rubies, add it to the bowl of ice and stir it around a bit. 9. Your red rubies are done. You will add this to your fruit cocktail. Directions: 1. Cut the longan and half and drain the syrup into a big bowl. Add the longan into the bowl. 2. Cut the rambutan in half and drain the syrup into a bowl. Add the rambutan into a bowl. 3. Cut the Aiyu jelly into a little cubes. Add it to the bowl. 4. Cut the toddy palm seeds into thin slices. Add it to the bowl. You don't need the syrup. 5. Pour the coconut jelly into the bowl without the syrup. (Unless you want it sweeter) 6. Slice the jackfruit and add it to the bowl. 7. Add the red rubies to the bowl and stir. 8. Pour 2 cups of half and half into the bowl. 9. Stir the fruit cocktail until it's completely mixed. 10. Enjoy your delicious dessert! |
