| Video Discription | Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in to today's video. We're going to look at the weather for the next ten to fourteen days for this video. Day ten will take us to the tenth of March - and we'll be able to extend out beyond that with the extended GFS and ECM ensembles (they run to around a couple of weeks) High pressure to the north of the country will dominate the weather through this week bringing chilly northeasterly winds especially across the south. Looking ahead to the weekend and the early part of next week overnight model runs have come into agreement for the high pressure to retrogress to Greenland and set up a blocking feature around Greenland and Iceland which would bring a blast of northerly winds... So the weather looking increasingly cold and wintry for next week today... but will it verify??? Meanwhile in the stratosphere a major sudden stratospheric warming (SSW) has occurred over the north pole with zonal winds going into reverse at 10hpa and 60N. A second major reversal of zonal winds is now taking place at 10pha and the zonal wind is reversing at 30hpa for the first time this season today... We're grinding to 16K subscribers right now.
