| Video Discription | Sweet puri made with sesame seeds. It can a simple tea time snack or can be made during festivals like Diwali. Enjoy! Full recipe below: Ingredients for Sweet Puri – Suwari: 1 cup All purpose flour 2 tbsp Sugar mixed with some warm water 2 tbsp Ghee / Clarified butter 1 tbsp Sesame seeds Pinch of salt Water to make dough Method: 1. Add flour to a big bowl. 2. Add ghee, sesame seeds, and salt to the flour. 3. In a separate small bowl, mix sugar with some warm water. 4. When sugar is dissolved, add the sugar water mixture to the flour. 5. Add water in small amounts to the flour as needed until dough is made. 6. Leave dough to rest for 5 minutes 7. After 5 minutes, take the dough and roll it into a long roll. 8. Cut the roll into 1” thick pieces using a knife. Roll each piece into a puri. 9. Fry the puris at medium-high heat until pink in colour. |
