There are a few more ingredients that get added to boondi to get a nice, distinct flavour. Sweet boondi is available a lot in the sweet shops, that's why I have added artificial colors to the boondi to get the exact look of it. But, personally I would suggest that there's no need of adding those colors at all, unless you are keen on it. So the colors are totally optional for you guys. And the edible camphor gives it a nice temple prasadam feeling, but that is also optional if you don't have it handy with you. Another trick is to soak the boondi in sugar syrup immediately after frying if you want it to be soft and nice after some time.
