| Video Discription | Ingredients: • 2 cups Urad dal/Black gram (500g) • 2 cups Sugar or Jaggery powder (500g) • 1 cup Ghee (250g) • 1/4 cup Rice (125g) Instructions: • Begin by roasting the Urad dal (black gram) on low heat. Roast until the dal turns a golden brown color. This process will enhance the flavor and aroma of the dal. • In a separate pan, roast the rice over low heat until its rawness disappears. Ensure that the roasting is uniform and that the Urad dal crackles during this process. • Once the roasting is complete, prepare a fine powder from the jaggery or sugar, depending on your preference. For the Urad dal, it's recommended to grind them to a powder in a pounding mill. • Allow both the jaggery/sugar and Urad dal powders to come to room temperature. • Combine the cooled powders in a mixing bowl. Ensure that they are evenly incorporated. • Gradually add lukewarm ghee to the mixture in batches. Mix thoroughly to achieve a well-combined consistency. The mixture should not be too runny. • With the mixture ready, shape it into small round balls known as "sunnundalu." Place them under a fan overnight to help them set. • Once they have properly set, your sunnundalu are ready to be enjoyed.
