| Video Discription | Okay, after hours of fucking with my kernel and stuff, i've configured a working installation of Ubuntu with Seamless mode working. What i've done: 1. Installed Ubuntu 7.10 Server 2. Booted from a Mandriva LiveCD 3. Mounted and chrooted to the Ubuntu partition 4. Installed linux-generic (since the server kernel will not boot with VirtualBox) 5. Removed the linux-server kernel 6. Booted into Ubuntu 7. Installed gcc, g++ and make 8. Installed the Sun xVM VirtualBox Guest Tools 9. Installed ubuntu-desktop 10. Enjoyed Seamless mode with Ubuntu Yes, i know it's faster to do this all with just a Ubuntu Desktop LiveCD but I was too lazy to burn one, and the Server CD lied under my bed. |
