| Video Discription | In this video we demonstrate the basics of the Oracle Crystal Ball Excel plug-in. Crystal Ball is a helpful tool to create probabilistic models in Excel. Most managers and analysts have excellent Excel skills and with Crystal Ball they can run Monte Carlo simulations without using more complicated statistical and mathematical platforms. Crystal Ball is easy to understand and is a powerful simulation tool. In this video we show how the basic functionality of Crystal Ball works. We take the example of a bank's capital needs. We calculate the expected losses and the corresponding loan loss provisions. The uncertainty surrounding the input variables requires an additional capital buffer.
