| Video Discription | Gall bladder specimen removal is not a difficult task for a laparoscopic surgeon in his/her regular practice.Rarely in some cases,with multiple gallstone which are impacted tightly with multi faceted surfaces it becomes a difficult task to retrieve the specimen out.Spillage of gallstones may occur at two stages in the entire procedure.1.Separation of gallbladder from it's liver bed 2.During the extraction of the specimen from the 10mm port site. Literature has published complications (immediate and late) after spillage of stones intra abdominally and also the preventive techniques to avoid the same problem by the studies.In this particular case ,post operatively patient had no complications at all as I have meticulously removed all the stones out with post operative intravenous antibiotics for three days. |
