Different variety of fillings can be used in holige either Chana dal, Toor dal, Coconut and Peanuts so many more.. Holige can be prepared by patting or by rolling using rolling pin as well.. I have shared simple fool proof tried and tested recipe to make perfect holige/puran poli. Do try and let me how it goes in comment section!! Ingredients For Filling 1) 1 Cup Chana Dal soaked 2) 1 Cup Jaggery 3) 1tsp cardamom powder 4) 4 cup water 5) 1/8tsp oil 6) 3tbsp Fresh coconut For Outer cover 1) 1 Cup Maida/plain flour 2) 1/2cup water or as required 3) 2tbsp Chiroti rava/Semolina 4) 3tbsp Oil(sesame oil or any oil of choice) 5) 1/4tsp Turmeric For frying Holige 1) Oil/Ghee as required |
