| Video Discription | He was a victim of abuse and animal cruelty. He was unwanted, ridiculed and abused. This is Buco, a stray dog we rescued from the Sugarcane fields of Negros Occidental. Reporter informed us that he was hurt several times, from kids shooting with pellet guns to adults kicking him when he would come near them begging for food. He had a bad case of sarcoptic mange, and had so many worms from having to scavenge food from the garbage. But his life changed the moment we came to rescue him. Shortly after his rescue, immediate vet care and a few medicated baths, he slowly came out of his shell. That scared, traumatized, mangy and unwanted dog suddenly became part of our home as we foster him back to health. Solo walks in the village became regular play time with the rest of the pack. Little did he know, he was being prepared to become a prince in a beautiful farm in Calatagan, a paradise where he will be loved so dearly, a place where he will be safe, well taken cared of, and free to express his very jolly self. Ms. Sofia, Buco's adopter and now furmom, would regularly check on him while we were fostering him. Seeing Buco's condition made her think of him all night. Sleepless nights turned to a firm decision on adoption. After a few months of rehabilitation, Buco was flown to Manila from Bacolod in the middle of the pandemic. The very 1st meeting at the Bulacan shelter was beautiful and magical, there was instant connection. Buco was Ms. Sofia's 1st rescued dog and the best part about Buco's adoption was that it opened doors to 3 more aspins they wholeheartedly welcomed to their home. "I have often dreamed of a far off place Where a hero's welcome would be waiting for me Where the crowds would cheer, when they see my face And a voice keeps saying this is where I'm meant to be" Buco found his home.
