Steps To Take To Neutralize And Lower PH Of Your Liquid Soap
🟢1) Watch this video in full
This step is very important if you want to understand the concept of neutralizing and adjusting pH of soap. This is a one time investment of quality time. So go ahead and watch this video in full.
🟢2) Add 20g of citric acid to 80g of distilled water - Watch video for this step.
Follow the instruction in this video to see how I did this.
🟢3) Your Soap must be set on the stove with low heat if you don't want the citric acid solution to form white lumps that may destabilize your soap
Set your diluted soap on the stove on low heat, then add the boiled citric acid solution in small increment. Whisk thoroughly as demonstrated in this must-watch video
🟢4) Adjust pH of your soap

Check pH of soap with each addition of boiled citric acid solution. If you want to adjust it further, add more citric acid solution and check the pH.
Once you reached your desired pH,Mix well for 3 minutes and allow soap to settle.
The heat and whisking will prevent cloudiness of the citric acid in your soap.
🟢5) Heat the soap between 3 to 10 minutes to prevent cloudiness.
Allow to cool before using.

In today's video, I'm going to demonstrate to you how to neutralize the pH of your liquid soap with citric acid solution.
Please ensure you watch this video to the end to understand this concept ones and for all.
The video is in 2 part, the theory part and the demonstration part.
To neutralize your soap, dissolve 20g of citric acid in 80g of distilled water.
Bring the solution to a boil.
Warm your diluted soap. Keep it on the stove on low heat and add the citric acid solution, a little at a time (20 g increment).
Whisk your soap well.
To prevent cloudiness and clumpy white mess, ensure your diluted soap is on the stove with low heat, set it to low setting and whisk well while adding the citric acid.
For each addition, check the pH of your soap, it will reduce with each addition.
To make your soap stable, do not use too much citric acid solution.
Once your soap reaches the desire pH, boil the soap for 3 to 10 minutes under low heat to prevent cloudiness.
