| Video Discription | One of the early signs of facial ageing are the changes in the skin and soft tissues around the face, this can result in the appearance of saggy overhanging eyelid skin, eyelid bags and dark circles. Upper blepharoplasty/ eyelid surgery removes the excess skin on the upper eyelids leaving an invisible scar in the natural crease of the eyelids. Dr De Silva takes meticulous care in removing the excess skin on the upper eyelids and stitching up the incision so that the eyelid isn't taught. Taking too much away from the upper eyelid can result in troublesome dry eye and not taking away enough will result in overhanging skin. The aim of these videos is to provide information to patients so they can make an informed decision about undergoing blepharoplasty.
