Alongside Police Commissioner Grant Stevens, brave eight-year-old Sergeant Sammy embarked on his special day with a ride in the SA Police helicopter from his primary school to Adelaide Oval. After meeting the police dog squad, a special police motorcade with blaring lights and sirens escorted the new officer to his first case - a trio of celebrity crooks on the loose. Adelaide’s bustling Rundle Mall came to a standstill as the pint-sized officer hunted down Adelaide-born singing superstar Guy Sebastian, Crows ruckman Reilly O'Brien and South Aussie wicketkeeper Alex Carey.
