In this patient with scrotal hypospadias and history of severe chordee and penoscrotal transposition, STAC repair was done 6 months ago for penile straightening. In this 2nd stage surgery, skin graft is harvested to begin the neourethral repair. Tips and tricks for graft harvest are discussed, as well as what to do with the proximal urethrostomy to ensure no scrotal hair-bearing tissues are incorporated into the neourethra when it is tubularized at the final stage repair. Sizing the skin for skin graft harvest is also demonstrated, as well as how to secure the graft with quilting sutures and a Vaseline gauze tie-over bandage. |
