Along the way, I'll share some insights into regions and categories as well as some additional options that I love. There should be no gatekeeping in spirits, especially rum. If there's something I forgot let me know. I'm always happy to get recommendations from other rum drinks. After making this video, I realized how many of my runner-up choices or "Honorable Mentions" were Plantation. They definitely have their fans and their foes in the Rum World, and I am obviously a fan. I think they make great rums and are especially ideal for someone just getting into rum or cocktails.
