| Video Discription | I talk about my experience of hitting the switch hit around 34 years ago against New Zealand in the 1987 world cup. Sunil Gavaskar went on to score a century in that one-day international and I am also humbled for people recognizing me as the 1st person to play the switch hit in cricket. In this video, I also talk about how I went about inventing the switch hit in cricket and how my mindset was when i started playing that shot. Switch hit is quite a common shot nowadays due to the introduction of the t20 format but back then it was a batting shot out of the blue.
