The US made several attempts to return to the moon after that. But it could not. Finally, NASA started the Artemis Program in 2017, while Donald Trump became president of the US. NASA is preparing to send its astronauts to the lunar surface after 50 years. But Why? Why is NASA going back to the moon? Seems like this is the beginning of a new space race. And this urgency is fueled by China’s rise in Space and several other factors. This Space Race is different from the one in the 1960s-70s.
