| Video Discription | Happy Sankranti all of you. JANTHIKALU Recipe: Janthikalu, also known as Murukku, is a popular South Indian snack. To make Janthikalu, you'll need rice flour, Ajwain, cooked Moong dal, salt and Chilly paste. Combine 4Kgs Rice flour, 1/4 Kg Ajwain, 1/4Kg Chilly paste and 3/4Kg well cooked Moong dal paste, Salt. Gradually add water and knead the mixture into a soft, non-sticky dough. Ensure the dough is well-mixed and has a smooth consistency. Take a portion of the dough and place it in a murukku press. Press the dough onto a greased surface. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Once the oil is hot, carefully slide the shaped Janthikalu into the oil. Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove the Janthikalu from the oil and place them on absorbent paper to remove any excess oil. Allow the Janthikalu to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container. They can be stored for a few weeks.
