| Video Discription | Skinks make up about 25% of all lizard species alive today. They can be found in just about every habitat on earth (though they don't live in Antarctica - but is that really so surprising?). It's not always easy to identify a skink because they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Some are smooth and shiny, but others are spiny with keeled scales. There are even some skinks with no legs and others with no eyelids making them quite snake-like in appearance. Skinks may give birth to live young or brood their eggs. They really are a diverse group of reptiles!
