Shapes in Real life for toddlers and Preschoolers. A fun animated video showing a range of shapes using items from real life. A great video to help children recognize shapes in their environment. Suitable for toddlers, preschool, kindergarten and ks1 children.
At the beginning of the educational ladder for kids, there are a couple of things which they will need to learn, such as numbers, alphabetical letters and knowing more about the shapes. Learning the shapes could happen in so many different ways and it all starts with showing them the shapes in the form of small toys, and the second option is showing and teaching them the shapes through the real objects they might see in their daily life (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9nMr4P843o).
The square, the rectangle, the cylinder, the circle, the sphere, etc. these are all the different shapes which we come to deal with in our daily lives and which the kids will be in need to learn and know more about them in their early stages (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmfCdqxTjEw).
In this educational video, the focus is actually on showing the preschoolers, toddlers and kindergarten, the different real shapes which they see on a daily basis and let them guess their shapes. The soft drink can, the jelly, the cookies, the chocolate cake, the ice cube, and lots of other ideas and options that you could come up with when it is about showing the kids some items and asking them to tell what do they look like and what shape they are.
When it comes to shapes and learning them, we believe that taking the first step with their real shapes and toys is the most effective in order for them to know the shapes that are found out there before they could move forward to the point where they will identify the different shapes they are seeing in front of them in the real life.
We also believe that teaching kids in general through depending on the real life objects they deal with or see on a daily basis is an effective method because they will be exposed to these things every single day and it will become easier for them to memorize the shapes and store them in their minds, so it will become easier for them to name the shapes when somebody asks them.
There are different educational videos found on our channel that parents could depend on when it comes to the different learning methods which they could depend on if they want to teach their kids the shapes and let them differentiate between them. 3D and 2D geometric shapes are sometimes hard for the kids, you could depend on this video to let them learn these shapes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-uRABe5sFE), parents could also link between teaching the kids the shapes and teaching them the colors because this might end up being more interesting for the kids (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4BD3Rv17lo) and eventually parents could just focus on specific shapes before they could teach their kids lots of different shapes all at the same time and ask them to differentiate or guess them (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPNZ0Jblg_A).
There are some tips which we want to share here with you in order to follow the right methods when it comes to teaching your kids the shapes:
- It is important to take it easily and step by step with your kids before you could enter the phase of letting them guess the shapes or say their names from other real objects they see.
- Always start with showing the kids the real shapes and tell them their names before you start showing them things that look like the shapes.
- If there is anything you find the kid dealing with some problems related to it then make sure to make it easier through other different methods and settle on the one which your kid shows some response to.
- And finally, there are different shapes found out there and sometimes one object might be referred to with different shapes' names.
Enjoy watching this video along with your kids and if they already know the shapes then play this game with them and let them guess the shapes in this video. You could enjoy guessing along with them and bring back your childhood memories.
