| Video Discription | Panchkhadya is prepared using minimum 5 ingredients and this is the main reason it is called as Panchkhadya.. It is primarily prepared during Ganesh Festival and served after Arati. It mainly contains coconut, cardamom powder, Sugar, Dry Fruits, Poppy Seeds (khaskhas). Krik(Kharik) Powder and all... Ingredients – • 1 tbsp Poppy seeds • 1/2 cup dry grated Coconut • 1/4 cup Rock sugar / Khadi sakhar • Dry fruits (Almonds, Pistachios, Raisins – optional) • Kirk powder / Kharik powder • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder Method - • Heat a pan on medium heat. Add poppy seeds. • Roast the seeds for 2 -3 minutes until it gets reddish colour. • Transfer the poppy seeds in a blender pot. Grind it into a course powder. • Roast the grated coconut on low heat for 4 – 5 minutes. • Transfer the roasted coconut into the blender pot. Add rock sugar. • Blend it into a coarse powder. • Take the mixture into a bowl. Add dry fruits. • Add kirk powder and cardamom powder. Mix well. • Your panchakhadya is already. |
