History Matters

Why do you do this?</div> History Matters (formerly Ten Minute History) is a YouTube channel which provides free, educational history videos for use by interested viewers, students and teachers alike. Each episode uses adorable (if I do say so myself) historical characters to tell the most interesting parts of human history in a way that's easy to understand for those that don't have a degree in history. The content covered is broad and not always easy to understand which is why I've taken to making it accessible. The reason I do this is because I've spoken to many teachers who feel that there is a lack of (free) online material to support history education. Since I'm able to address that, I will. <div style="text-align: center;">Why do you need a Patreon? </div> Youtube is a pretty fraught place when it comes to making a living. By supporting you'll allow me to 1, continue creating content full time; 2, buy books and materials to produce new episodes and 3; allow me to make episodes about historical topics that YouTube considers unfriendly to advertisers which means all of history can be represented, not just the fluffy bits.
