You are what is wrong with the media today." - Budd Macc They're right, I'm annoying. I hate to admit it, but I even annoy myself. Yet, I remain undaunted. Because sometimes, yes those rare sometimes, it takes an annoying person to talk about annoying things. This is not only the core of Rare Earth, but also all of my personal and professional failures. Yet, my loss is your gain, because it means that every week I keep coming back with a new video I found somewhere out there in the world. So far we've made seasons in Japan, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Chile, Cuba, Belize, Somalia, Ethiopia, Canada, Armenia and Albania. With enough time and support we hope to annoy the whole world. If you do choose to donate, please note that we charge if a video is released on Saturday, but no more regardless of output. If we happen to put out an extra video in the week, you won't pay. If we fail to put out a video that week, likewise. For those getting rewards, please note that we provide the rewards after a full 'month' (4 installments) of successful funding. For those who want to get a souvenir/letter from our travels but can only afford one of the weekly donations per month, you can still sign up for the tier and we'll deliver an item after 4 months. We keep score even if you set a cap. Also, just to note: due to me usually producing the rewards in a place like Somalia during the filming, they are rarely shipped immediately. Thanks for reading! I'm guessing the title is fairly explanatory. We'll put your name in the description of the videos we make. Basically your ticket to extremely low-level fame. I'll probably call you "cool" or "righteous", or some other term no longer popular among the youth.

Name in Description

Every month I will hand write you a letter, on a postcard, created from a still shot taken from our filming. The letter will probably be filled with bad jokes based on things that happened to me that month.  I'm probably gonna use snail mail, though. Because I think we need to stand up to automation destroying the work prospects of our great nation's snails.

A Personal Video (Changing)

Once a month I will send you a thing. I don't know what that thing will be until I send it. Each month I will swap what the thing is. I am very much so open to recommendations on what that thing might be. 
 
Each thing comes with a hand-written letter by myself, or barring that, my lovely wife. Just to warn you, her hand-writing is unintelligible and you'll need to crack the Enigma just to read it. 
 
Things can include: Branded T-shirts, patches, mugs, signed books from my apparently well-loved father, souvenirs we buy on the road, and anything else I can muster.

A Thing

In addition to a thing, a letter, and a video, I will quite literally call your mother and tell her that she raised you right. I'll even pretend to be a person she really respects, like Don Ho or the mayor of your town. 
 
I'm certain nobody will choose this category, so I'm comfortable knowing I won't have to figure out what Don Ho sounds like. 
 
In lieu of a mother, I'm willing to call a sibling, boss, friend or classmate and gush praise about you in the style of your choosing. 
 
(So far, the people who have chosen this category have mostly opted for the phone call themselves. That's cool, too. I'm an equal opportunity phonist.)
